Partnering Opportunities

Patrys' deep pipeline, novel disease targets, and natural human antibody platform provide a wide range of partnering opportunities:

Clinical Stage Product Opportunities:

PAT-SM6, PAT-SC1 and PAT-LM1 represent clinical stage product opportunities that are completely owned by Patrys, and therefore free to include in appropriate strategic collaborations.

Early preclinical stage assets

Patrys has a deep pipeline of additional antibodies at various stages of early preclinical development, and a library of over 200 discovery stage anti-cancer natural human antibodies.  These assets represent a valuable opportunity both as single products, but also the library has many potential uses that may be of interest to partners, including the formation of cancer-specific phage display libraries.

Novel disease targets

Patrys has discovered five novel cancer-specific disease targets, that are valuable assets in connection with parties that are interested in developing new molecules (antibody, small molecule, peptide) against targets that are expressed on the surface of cancer cells, play a role in cancer cell survival, but that are not expressed on the surface of healthy tissues.

Patrys’ natural human antibody platform technology.

Patrys’ researchers have screened more than 40,000 natural human antibodies to identify those most effective in assisting the body to fight cancer, and/or in preventing cancerous or precancerous cells from progressing to tumours.  The antibodies are first tested for their ability to bind to cancer tissues but not healthy tissues.  These screening steps allow Patrys to identify antibodies that bind to novel targets previously reported to be associated with cancer.  This in turn allows Patrys a first-mover advantage to develop antibodies with new mechanisms for fighting cancer and the ability to block competitor products.

Other formats for Patrys IgM antibodies

Patrys has now generated IgG forms of its parent/lead IgM antibodies that may be of interest to companies focused on IgG antibody development.  These forms have now been shown to retain cancer cell binding and killing properties of the IgM parent molecule, so proof of concept has been firmly established for feasibility of conversion.

Patrys’ scientific, regulatory and commercial expertise, combined with an openness to creative collaboration structures, makes us an ideal partner for organizations that share our focus and commitment to improving the lives of patients.
